The role
We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to grow our observability consulting business. This is a senior, consultative sales role focused on long and complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
You will help customers understand how observability supports reliability, scalability, and business outcomes. This role is not about high-volume outbound sales or pushing licenses; it is about building trust, shaping demand, and closing meaningful consulting engagements.
Previous observability experience is not required. We will provide you with the knowledge, training, and ongoing support needed to succeed. What matters most is your ability to sell complex solutions, lead conversations, and learn.
What you’ll be responsible for
Own and drive complex observability consulting sales engagements from discovery to deal closure
Lead consultative sales discussions with technical and business stakeholders
Establish a structured and thoughtful approach to pipeline development and opportunity management
Translate customer challenges into observability strategies and consulting solutions together with our experts
Support pre-sales workshops, discovery sessions, and executive-level presentations
Contribute insights from customer conversations back into service development and go-to-market positioning
What your day-to-day looks like
No two days are the same, but your work will typically include a mix of the following:
Preparing for and leading discovery and sales meetings with current and potential customers
Having in-depth conversations with technical and business stakeholders to understand their challenges, priorities, and context
Working closely with observability consultants to shape solutions, proposals, and customer-specific approaches
Following up on active opportunities, clarifying scope, and moving deals forward in a structured way
Collaborating with marketing to refine messaging, campaigns, and content based on real customer conversations
Developing existing customer relationships and identifying opportunities to expand observability engagements over time
Maintaining a clear and realistic view of your pipeline and forecast
Taking ownership of your deals from the first conversation to the signed agreement

We are looking for an independent doer, someone who is comfortable taking charge, moving deals forward, and owning outcomes. At the same time, you are never alone. You will have direct access to experienced colleagues across sales, consulting, marketing, and managed services who are always available to support you professionally and constructively.
What we’re looking for
Experience
4–6 years of experience in B2B consultative sales, preferably within:
IT consulting or professional services
Enterprise software or platform ecosystems
Observability, monitoring, cloud, data, security, or infrastructure domains
Proven experience selling long, complex, multi-stakeholder solutions
Skills & mindset
Strong ability to articulate value, outcomes, and return on investment
Comfortable engaging with both technical experts and executive stakeholders
Curious and eager to learn, especially around observability and modern IT environments
Structured, reliable, and disciplined in managing the pipeline and forecasts
Communicative, trustworthy, and comfortable challenging customer assumptions when needed
Collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with consultants, marketing, and leadership
This role exists to sell expertise, advisory, and long-term observability capability.
